Details of our HIAB Training
Our courses are thorough and complete, and covered in a professional yet friendly manner whether its novices who have had no experience of operating a lorry loader crane, operators with some experience but no formal training, and refreshers.
Our lorry loader training includes availability to receive attachments training using brick clamps, clam shell bucket and hooks. We can train you operators to suit your specific operational needs and demands.
Course content includes:
- Introduction to the machine to be used, as necessary
- Set up for lifting operations
- Pre-use inspection
- Basic operations-raising, lowering, slewing, jib extending
- Preparing for travel
- Selection of attachments
- Selection and safe use of slings etc
- Load weight assessment
- Lifting and placing loads accurately
- Theory inputs include Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974, Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998, Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998
- Operators safety code, machine stability and principles of operating safety
Lorry loader training includes a testing in:
- Pre-use inspection,
- Associated knowledge examination
- Practical test of operating ability
